UPCOMING EVENTS:

Labor Day Weekend - Friday 9/3, 6:30 p.m. Texas Coast Yachts invites you to an evening reception at their new offices and docks in Watergate Yachting Center. Building 122A and the new pier 11. The reception will offer drinks and hors d'oevres in the office and on the docks. They will also offer a boat show preview of their inventory and allow you to board a boat or two. In addition they will introduce and celebrate our special guest of the evening, Kyle Stallones, with the newest Jeanneau delivery the 2010 Jeanneau 36i. Help them celebrate Kyle's new boat. 2010 ANNUAL (APRIL) SPRING FLING & UN-RULE-Y REGATTA RESULTS The Skippers meeting was held at 9 a.m. at the East Pool amidst mild temperatures and a slightly cloudy sky, then the weather deteriorated rapidly with thunderstorms and lightning as a front came through from the south west, which dampened some sailor spirits and they elected not to race. BUT…… a hardy few did venture out and complete the circuit. Out of 31 entries about 10-12 started to race, but only 9 finished. With the weather clearing up as the race ended, bright sunny skies allowed the Spring Fling party with a hot dog barbeque to take place around the east pool, accompanied by Mark Streeter’s band, everyone had a chance to visit and chat about the day’s events. Trophies were presented to the top finishers and the last place finisher. Cutting boards depicting the t-shirt design and finishing place were awarded to the following top 6 places, and a boat scrubbing brush donated by West Marine was awarded to Kat Harris on Dawntreader for the last place finisher! The SOB story winner was Rick Weiler.
